I think I’m having a ground or switch
problem on my ‘69 GTX. When I turn the
headlight or park light switch on, 30-40%
of the time my dash lights are dim and
my directional lights [turn signal lamps
- ed.] on the dash and high beam lights
illuminate, not bright but dim. If I roll the
dimmer switch, they will dim even lower.
All exterior lights, directionals and low/
high beams work perfect nice & bright. I
checked all light grounds and they look
great even the harnesses are new.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Best guess: Loose ground screws on I.P.
printed circuit board. You can probably
snug them with the panel still in place,
although success will depend on your
personal flexibility and dexterity.
