Horsepower Incentive
1938 was a disastrous year for Dodge truck sales. Perhaps they
would have been better if they had come equipped the way
Harvey Beers’ truck is. His Pro-Streeter packs a 440-6/ 727, and a
narrowed 8-3/4˝ rear. Suspension is Troyer front and rear, same as
used on featherlight modified race cars. Harv designed and built the
truck himself, at a wee bit more than the $600 that the truck cost
new in ’38.
