Upper Control Arm Bushing ’70 Barracuda

Tech Question

Nick Ucciardi, Pikeville, NC, 1970 Plymouth Barracuda 360

On the upper control arm, the rear bushing has a sleevethat goes arond the bushing. Are there supposed to be one on each bushing oronly the rearmost ones? If four are required where can I get them? Thankyou for any help you can offer.

Nick, only one sleeve per arm is needed. This was an add-on institutedaround 1970. If you’re not doing a 100-point resto, an even better (andsimpler, cheaper) method is two small “daubs” of mig weld on each bushing’souter shell (inner end), to prevent them from sliding in case the press fitis less than perfect.
