Max’d Out Magnum

Ken Scharff from Colorado Springs, CO likes the Pro Street look, so he had is ’78 Dodge Magnum up (or down) graded (depending on your point of view) to fill the bill. The bill added up fast what with 7 months in the chassis shop for a Competition Engineering rear subframe, 4-Link with coilovers, CE wheelie bars, complete new FFI front end and 8 point cage. Motor work on the 440 includes .030˝-over, .509″ purple cam, ported 906 heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM with 830 CFM Holley and Flowtech ceramic headers. The 727 didn’t escape unscathed either being reworked with a full competition 727 with manual reverse valve body and 3500 RPM converter. Out back is a 3.73 Strange S-60. Other goodies that added to the bill were 2008 Dodge Viper seats, Wilwood disc brakes, Billet Specialties wheels, Mickey Thompson tires, 20 gal. fuel cell, 5-point harnesses, Autometer Phantom gages, faux carbon fiber dash, all polished aluminum interior and the always popular “lots more.”
