I pulled the 8.75″ center section out to have new gearsinstalled and want to know if I have to replace inner axle seals beforere-installing axles? (The current seals have less than 1000 miles).

No, just be very careful not to cut them with the sharp spline edges as youslide the shafts in. I usually wrap the splines with paper, slide the shaftsin past the splines, then loosen my grip on the paper to pull it out.
