The wipers in my 1999 B2500 conversion
van quit. I followed the service
manual procedure (delay wipers) and
got nowhere. Any ideas? Need this fixed
cheap and fast!
Try this: Turn the wiper switch on, and
measure the voltage (or use a test
lamp) from the motor housing (case) to
a good ground. If you find any potential
at all, the motor’s not grounded. This
was a common malady on Mopars of
the ’80s and ’90s. Cheap and dirty
fix: Solder a wire to the motor case at
least 16 gauge), run this wire to a good
ground. Done.
