Mark Wickens, from Winchester, IN, likes to exercise his ’69 440 Road Runner on the strip and street. Mark has owned the car, which started life as a 383, since 1990. The 440 has been dyno’d at 570 HP and 600 ft./lbs. of torque. Goodies include steel crank, JE pistons and 850 Holley. The 727 uses a reverse manual valve body and 8” TCI converter. The body is stock except for a lift-off hood and 8-point cage. The beeper requires race gas and runs 11.21 at 119 in the quarter.
