My ’65 Valiant Signet (225)
has a heater core that’s leaking.
Where can I find replacement/
repair instructions?
Repairs to the core itself consist
primarily of soldering up the
leaks; your local radiator shop
can do it. If there’s anything
left to work with (doubtful). It
isn’t really practical to repair it
yourself as it must be pressure
tested before reinstallation.
Rockauto.com has reasonably
priced new cores.
Replacement or repair involves
dropping the heater box from
under the dash and splitting the
halves (see drawing below)
