Line Drawing

I need to replace all the brake
hardlines in my ’64 Valiant station
wagon. I tried Stainless Steel
Brakes but apparently they
don’t do early Abodies. Is there
another source? Or should I just
buy bulk 3/16˝ stainless tube and
roll my own? Eastwood?
I have already decided that I
will roll my own exhaust system
using 2_˝ instead of the 1_˝ that it
had. Old one was beat to death,
rusted, and didn’t clear the
pitman arm. Weird.

The way to go is rolling your own cupronickel
brake lines. Longer lasting than
even the OEM ternecoated lines, and very
easy to work with. The only downside is
that visually it is readily apparent that it
isn’t “stock”.
Assume you’re gonna go to a dual
circuit master cylinder? That’s a must, in
my book. NonOEM be damned! (I have a
stash of fittings and armor if you can’t find
’em, inquire).
The stainless stuff looks reasonably
close to stock, but, if you can’t find what
you need prebent and preflared, forget it.
