1971 “Elvis” ‘Cuda – Mopar Action Article Extra

Subsequent to publishing the article in the June issue of Mopar Action, on the 1971 ‘Cuda purported to have been bought and owned by Elvis Presley, the editors learned that the Ohio title pictured in the article was 100% bogus! The article had stated even before the title proved to be bogus, that the fact that the ‘Cuda was an Elvis car was questionable. Now, in the absence of any additional supporting documentation, it is very unlikely and highly doubtful that the ‘Cuda had been bought and owned by Elvis. Mopar Action will print the update in their upcoming August issue.

This ‘Cuda currently is being auctioned on eBay. The seller, Shawn Midd, of M&M Auto Classics states that the ‘Cuda ”may” be an Elvis car, but the overall impression of the description makes it sound like it is an Elvis car. Mopar Action notified Shawn of the fact that the title was bogus, and he said he would amend the auction to reflect these facts. So far he hasn’t done this. Mopar Action cautions anyone who is bidding on the car or who know anyone who is bidding on the car to be aware of these new revelations. Otherwise, the high bidder may be in for a rude awakening.
