I just bought a ’68 Dodge Charger, R/T, 440.
It needs total restoration,
but it is complete and unmodified,
or so the guy told me. The
car has what is supposed to
be all original paint, S1 yellow.
I thought that the bumblebee
stripe was supposed to be on
all ’68 Charger R/Ts, but there
is no sign of it, leading me to
think that the car may have been
resprayed.
Can you help me figure this
out?
The stripe was, indeed,
standard, but could have been
deleted—the “delete option”
code was 317, see if that
appears on the data plate.
