that I bought new. What color is the power
steering gear box from the factory? Is natural
cast or painted black?
Bare cast iron. Some guys will satin-clear
coat it to retain close to OEM appearance
yet have a modicum of corrosion resistance.
Manual boxes are bare die cast aluminum.
Same coating deal if desired.
