Striped Out

On a 1969 GTX
lower body molding, the single
pinstripe, I believe there were
only two colors that were available,
tomato red and white.
What was used with the car
being B5 blue? Was it personal
preference or any one of the
two colors?

Yes, the sport stripes were
reflective red or white only
(tape). Basically, white was “recommended”
with all paint colors
except L1, W1, and X9, but you
could, if desired, order red on
any GTX.
I remember clearly a friend’s
brand new ’68 Dart GTS 340:
Red with red stripes. Subtle.
