Sky Pilot
I recently removed my slant-six to put a 361 B-engine in my 4-door ’65 Coronet with a 4-speed using a Lakewood scattershield. I am having a lot of issues with the starter shifting out of alignment and not reaching the flywheel. Are there any suggestions you can give me? I put back the full-size starter ‘cause the mini starter was worse. Should I remove the block plate cutout?
Does the clutch housing you are using properly pilot the nose of the starter? If not, nothing you can do will ever make it reliable. Which starter you use is meaningless.
