‘Cuda Been Truckin’

Over the years, I have seen original 1969
Barracuda Formula S’ truck finish panels
rise in price from several hundred dollars
to over $2300 at swap meets like Carlisle.
Metro Parts Co. advertises their “All new”
Finish Panel for $465. Have you seen the
quality of this part? Is it stamped properly
and will do justice to a concours quality car?

Other ’69 ’Cuda owners might object to
their cars being classified as a “truck.” Most
feel the cavernous cargo area is more like a
trophy room on wheels. Seriously, I assume
you’re referring to the decklid finish panel.
While I haven’t seen this particular part,
in general, Metro’s stuff is excellent and they
have a good reputation.
