World’s greatest school bus.

Amazing what you can find by trolling the internet instead of doing more important things—like your job. So one day, instead of putting together the next issue of Mopar Action or going out to search for an abandoned Bitcoin mine, we were clicking on some of the cool rides for sale on eBay and eating pistachio nuts when this item popped up. Definitely worth a second look and something I thought our viewers would enjoy. Probably the coolest school bus ever to set tires in front of elementary school USA. We would have bid on this baby ourselves, but somebody had absconded with the Mopar Action cookie jar containing the coffee and cookie money. So check it out…

1950 Dodge Power Wagon School Bus, Hellcat supercharged Hemi, rebuilt 46rh overdrive transmission-with shift kit and upgrades to handle the power. The transfer case is np208 and rear axle ratio is 4.30. Has 4 wheel power disk brakes and close ratio power steering. This bus has had a frame off restoration in 2019, no expenses spared. During the restoration all rust was removed and replacement parts were fabricated or sourced new.
This bus is riding on like new tread 35 inch radial tires on custom wide wheels. The exhaust system features ceramic headers with 3 inch stainless exhaust. The lighting system has been restored and all function. The viewing window in the floor is 1 inch thick polycarbonate. This bus has a documented history. This bus was at the SEMA show in 2019 in the KBS Coatings booth, it features all their products for paint and rust protection. In the movie Mayberry Man this bus has been used in the filming and will be in several scenes ,the movie should be out this fall. Included with the sale will be the magnets with Mayberry School District and the sign for back that was used during filming.
This bus was always kept inside and is show quality, very fun to drive. If you don’t like attention this is not for you, everywhere you stop a crowed gathers. This was built by Carpenter body works in Mitchel Indiana.
