Is there a specific paint
code/color for the red in the simulated
hood vents on a 1968 Dart GTS, or will
any old red do?
I’m sure there was a code, but since,
as I recall, these ornaments (2786672,
673) were supplied pre-painted, only the
blueprint would show the code, and I
don’t have any A-body prints.
From memory, it was a somewhat
dark red, what some people call “Chinese”
red, something like PP 1 but a few
shades darker, I remember that on PP
1 cars, the ornaments were noticeably
darker than the body.
