See every one of the over 30 440 Six Pack and 440 6BBL machines on display at the 2019 Muscle Car And Corvette Nationals.

What is the coolest thing about being a VIP media member at MCACN? Getting on the short list of people who get 24/7 show access. Not even the car owners get this, and it means being able to come into the show at, say 4:00 AM in the morning, just to take pictures. This year’s event broke all previous attendance records and we would not be able to show this “night in the Mopar mausoleum” gallery had we been up against the masses of enthusiastic humanity. Here is the first of our Gallery’s done in the off-hours of the show that had over $100M worth of muscle on display for two days.

With it being the 50th anniversary of the A12 440 Six Pack Dodge Super Bees and 440 6BBL Road Runners, show manager Bob Ashton managed to have over 30 of the beasts on hand, enough that they virtually took over the rearmost hall area. With some showcased on stands and in displays, these ranged from Ted Stevens’ amazing survivor â€Runner, to Le Hodges’ ex-drag racing Super Bee, to odd ball options like Darrin and Jennie Stanke floral top monster and the 14” whitewalls on Jerry Breznicky’s ride. There were a couple of none-A12 tributes on hand, as well as a car that went through the event’s notable Vintage Certification process. This pictorial will give you a look at this event and some of the car owners who came in to display at it.

The show is held just 5 minutes from Chicago’s O’Hare Airport in the Stephens convention center, and plans for 1970’s 50th Anniversary are already well underway. Want to see it all, with quality hotels and restaurants all close enough to walk to? Contact them at www.mcacn.com. (Oh, and sorry, but we already have the MA exclusive for overnight access. – Zoo)
