I have an A-727A tranny with the Slap Stick shifter. I’mtrying to get the transmission to shift harder. I’d like to burp the reartires going into second gear. Any help? The transmission has a freshrebuild. I’ve been told to use Ford ATF.
Sure! No-buck tricks:
> Type F ATF
> Max line pressure adjustment
> Toss accumulator spring
…beyond that, you’ll need a shift kit. There are lots of good ones outthere, I’ve always liked the B&M TransPak because it goes a little beyomdthe valve body, including some servo parts, too. Installation will take you2-3 hours.
