hi RICK,
i have 70 challenger 440 six pack i’m rebuildingi want to keep the factory torque converter. i’m lowering the compression to9.5:1 what is the maxium cam size that would work with the stock conv. and3.55 gears without having drivability issues. what stall are the factoryunits anyway ? thanks as always love all your tech, frank.

Frank-

The stock converter stall was approx. 2500-2600 RPM.

Drivability is, of course, a subjective question, but I can tell you thatsomething on the order of the MP 284 deg, 0.484″ lift bumpstick makes for anice combo — up about 25HP from stock, still plenty of low end, nice lopeyidle.
