’70 383 No-Start

I HAVE A 70 RR, 383, AUTOMATIC, I TURN THE KEY TO START ANDGET NOTHING, MY LIGHTS ALL WORK MY GAUGES WORK I CHANGED MY STARTER RELAY,STILL NOTHING. IF I CROSS STARTER RELAY TERNIAL IT STARTS RIGHT UP. ICHECKED FIREWALL PLUG ALL ARE GOOD. I UNPLUGGED THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH.STILL NOTHING.

There’s only 2 possibilities:
> 12v from the ignition switch isn’t making it to the yellow wire (on therelay) when you turn the key to “crank”
or
> The brn/yel wire isn’t being grounded by the NS switch
Nothing else it can be! Usually it is the latter problem (linkagemisadjustment, bad NS switch, broken rooster comb in trans, bad NS switchconnector). To check, just temporarily ground the lug marked “G” (The onewith the brn/yel wire) and see if it starts with the key. Yes? It is as Isuspect. No? Trace yellow back trough firewall, poss. bad bulkheadconnector, ign switch, or switch connector.
It cannot crank — ever — with the neutral safety switch disconnected.
