Tech QuestionRey Garza, Lancaster, CA, 1971 Dodge Challenger 383 My 71 Challenger with a non-rally fuel gauge is not working. I recently purchased the car and was told that the gauge was bad and the sending unit checked good. So I replaced the gauge and now it always reads full with ignition on. Please help - Thanks! Rey- I am assuming tank isn't actually full. I also assume the temp. gauge is working OK. (These assumptions, if untrue, might radically change my diagnosis). Disconnect connector at sender and let it dangle. If gauge now reads empty, sender is shot. If it still reads full, there's a wiring short - don't run it that way for more than a few seconds or you'll cook the gauge. Rick
