Tech Questionjohn johnston, murchison, TX, 1971 Plymouth valiant 360 Oh great one, I have 1971 Valiant 4 door sedan and I pulled the 318 and swapped in a 360. After dropping in the 360 I realized I needed to swap the tranny 904 for the 727, so how do I measure to have the drive shaft shortened, car has 8.75" axle, stock as far as I know John Have car supported by wheels or suspension, level. Slip in the yoke so there's about 3/8" clearance to the rear of the seal boot. Measure from the center of the U-joint hole to the front edge of the rear axle flange, that dimension is known as C/C.
