Hi my question is I would like to know what carburetor I am ment to have on my charger the VIN: is XP29H9B298379. On the broadcast sheet it has CARB 38 \CHOKE 56. Any help you can give me in the correct carb and were I can purchase one would be greatly appreiated; I am in Australia and information over here is hard to get. Thanks, kind regards, Russell

Your Charger was one of the few '69s to be equipped with a Holley 4-Bbl., it was an R-4440A, Mopar P/N 2946538. The choke thermostat assembly was 2843156.
Your only hope for these are swap meets, or internet sites such as eBay (www.ebay.com, set up a "saved search"), or place a wanted ad on www.moparts.com. NOS ones will be tough, used is more likely. But the carb, if complete, can be restored to nearly-new, if you can't find a shop to do it for you down under, you can always send it to Holley's Custom Shop, or (270)782-2900.
