I Have A A833 4 Speed Trans With The 23 Spline Input Shaft,will It Hold Up To A Built 440? Would Replacing The Input Shaft With The 18spline Make Any Difference?
Dwight, it depends, mostly, on traction and abuse level. Granny shifted, itwould last for decades. Hammered, it’s very marginal.
You can’t swap only the main drive pinion and get the strength increase youneed…the whole gearset is different in a Hemi trans.
