Tech Question

Paul Wade II, North Charleston, SC, 1984 Dodge D-100 318

I am having a problem with my speedometer cable. I replaced the original cable with a new one and one month later the cable twisted in the cover. I would like to know what would cause the cable to twist inside of the sheath. Also when I pulled it off of the transmission that end was twisted also. Any help would be appreciated in this matter.

Paul, assuming that you didn't route it into a knot, or have it resting on an exhaust component, there's really only two possibilities...

(1) you didn't lube it (if non-Mopar cable)

or

(2) the head siezed.
