eric johnson, kenton, DE, 1971 dodge dart 318
I have a 1975 truck motor that I have swapped into my Dart. The '75 motor has smog ports under exhaust ports. Can I use my '71 manifolds? I can't seem to find any info anywhere. Cheapest fix? Can I plug the holes?
Eric, those were A.I.R. injection ports. Run a tap through, then use Allen setscrews glopped with Loctite. From memory, I think 1/4"-20 fits perfectly.
These are basically the worst 318/360 heads ever made, from a power-production point of view.
