Orion Stell, Fort Smith, AR, 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T 440
I am in the process of restoring my R/T, and I am wantingto strip the undercoating. I have heard it may contain ASBESTOS. What is thebest way to rid this in a safe manor?
Orion, if there is any asbestos, it is 100% encapsulated in the heavyasphalt-based undercoating slurry, so I don’t see any hazard whatsoever. Nomatter how you scrape it, the heavy chunks will fall to the ground andvirtually zero asbestos fibers would be breathable.
