Below shows the Polara as it appears in the new movie, “Winter of Frozen Dreams.” It’s disguised here as a Corlear, WI police cruiser, with magnetic signs covering the CHP decals.

Here are some additional photos of Mroz’s Polara in addition to the all-important original documentation that came with the car.

Mroz’s restored Polara is a regular at upstate New York shows,
and serves as a fundraiser for worthy charity events.

Motorola cop radio electronics was trunk mounted to package tray support. It took Mroz seven years to find this radio (on ebay). It was in like-new condition for $600.

Tires are BFGoodrich Pursuit Radials.

Doors bear the CHP serial number.

Original paperwork shows original documents, including broadcast sheet, bill of sale to the CHP, and succeeding transfers.

Signage created by Mroz tells most of the story. The rest of the story is in our June issue.
